Music Lessons - Advancing your skills
Piano Lessons
MMT offers private one on one lessons. This type of lesson is perfect for students who are working towards exams. We also offer group of two lessons and group lessons with a maximum of 4 students per group. Students are taught individually in the group lessons to cater for each students particular level. Students work through the Alfreds Piano Series books before moving onto books including Elissa Milnes 'Getting to Preliminary' followed by AMEB examination books.
Guitar Lessons
Guitar lessons are available as both a private and a group lesson. MMT offers electric, acoustic and bass guitar lessons. Students work through 'Progressive Method Books' before moving onto Rock School books. We place importance on learning to read music and pick notes before moving onto chords. Students are taught individually in the group lessons to cater to each students particular level.
Cello/Violin/Viola
Cello, violin and viola lessons are available only as a private lesson or a group of two. Students are taught at their individual level within the group of two lesson. Students often move into string ensembles after two years of learning.
Drum Kit Lessons
We offer private one on one drum lessons.
Saxophone/Clarinet/Flute
Saxophone, clarinet and flute lessons are offered as both private one on one or as a group of two.
Singing Lessons
We offer private, group of two and group singing lessons (Max of 6 Students).
Composition and Theory
Composition and Theory lessons are available as both group and private lessons. These lessons are excellent for students wishing to boost their theoretical skills as well as those preparing for AMEB theory exams or the theory component of AMEB practical exams.
